Increased the income eligibility standards for Medicaid "MANG" program applicants.  Law effective January 1, 1985         helped 150,000 medically needy Illinois residents.

Removed $500 cap on hospitalization payments for General Assistance recipients.  Law effective January 1, 1985 helped 100,000 Illinois residents.

Extended Medicaid coverage to 40,000 additional children in Illinois.  Law effective January 1, 1984.
